Governor Brown Orders Flags Lowered to Half-Staff to Honor Victims of the Attack in Baton Rouge

Governor Kate Brown today ordered all flags at Oregon public institutions to be flown at half-staff in honor of the victims of the attack on local law enforcement officers in Baton Rouge, La. Flags should stay at half-staff until sunset Friday, July 22. Please note the previous date for raising the flags was Tuesday, July 19.

"Violence is not a solution. It offers nothing other than the likelihood of more violence," Governor Brown said. "I extend heartfelt condolences to the loved ones of Baton Rouge officers killed and injured in this tragic attack, and I stand in solidarity with law enforcement in Oregon and across the nation."
